aReady.COM
Congatec's new aReady. Computer-on-Modules (CoMs) offer application-ready hypervisor, operating system, and IIoT software configurations that can be customized according to the customers' needs.
Developers can immediately boot these tailored aReady. CoMs and then install their applications. This significantly reduces the integration effort for the various IIoT functions of an embedded and edge computing system, as well as the area below the application layer.
OEMs receive fully function-validated Computer-on-Modules with aReady. CoMs, where application-readiness spans all relevant layers, from virtualization and OS to software. This allows OEMs to seamlessly integrate their applications. This solution decouples system development from application development, shortening time-to-market and enabling OEMs to focus fully on developing their applications.
Feature Set in Detail:
In terms of hardware, the application-ready aReady. CoMs feature an integrated hypervisor in the firmware and built-in storage, where operating systems and IIoT applications are pre-installed according to requirements. For example, if the Linux-based ctrlX OS from Bosch Rexroth is used, the full ctrlX OS world opens up, along with a comprehensive app offering from the ctrlX Store. This includes applications for PLC control, motion control, communication, and engineering tools. Developers also have access to a wide range of IoT and cloud apps, including essential functions such as firewalls and VPN clients.
