conga-QA4 - Qseven Module based on Intel® Pentium™/Celeron™ "Braswell"

The new conga-QA4 module features the new "Braswell" Intel Pentium and Celeron processors based on 14 nm technology. The optimized Intel Generation 8 graphics, with up to 16 EUs (graphics execution units) and 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, result in a significantly improved visual experience.

Basically, the Braswell Pentium and Celeron SoCs are to the 14nm “Cherry Trail” Atoms, what the “Bay Trail-D” Celerons are to the “Bay Trail-I” E3800 Atoms. They offer similar CPUs and GPUs to the Cherry Trail Atoms, but add desktop-like features such as SATA support. While the Cherry Trail Atoms are aimed primarily at tablets, the Braswell SoCs are designed for low-cost notebooks such as Chromebooks.

The conga-QA4 module comes in 4 different processor versions. These range from the entry-level dual-core Intel Celeron N3050 with 1.6/2.08 GHz to the quad-core Intel Pentium N3700 with 1.6/2.4 GHz, each with a power consumption of 4 watts for standard applications (SDP = Scenario Design Power).

Embedded BIOS Features
The x86-based CPU-Boards from congatec are equipped with a modular BIOS with dedicated "Embedded"-Features supported by the corresponding configuraton tools. This enables the system integrator to adapt the cpu-module to the requirements of the specific application. A detailled description of the BIOS features can be found here.

System Utility
All Embedded BIOS features are accessible through the use of a congatec Windows tool. This allows to configure settings as e.g. display adaptions, customized boot logo or project specific BIOS configurations and includes all manufacturing and statistical information; e.g. serial number, running hours, boot counter etc.

congatec offers advanced BSPs, which include both the latest tested drivers from silicon vendors and the congatec specific drivers for accessing all of our additional embedded BIOS and module features.
